After recently announcing that the Nintendo Switch port of Street Fighter II was a massive success, Capcom has said they look forward to releasing more games for Nintendo’s new console. One of these just announced is the Resident Evil Revelations Collection. This double pack will include both Resident Evil Revelations (which debuted on the 3DS and was eventually ported to the Wii U) and Resident Evil Revelations 2 which was released as episodic downloads and eventually as a full retail game, but it never made its way to the Wii U.
The collection will cost $39.99 and contain a game card for Resident Evil Revelations and a download code for Revelations 2. Or if you already have one of these games you can download them separately for $19.99 each. There is no release date set yet, outside of late 2017 but it’s definitely exciting to see Revelations 2 make its way to a Nintendo system, since it is where the Revelations series made its start.
My Two Cents: I loved Resident Evil Revelations on the Wii U. Before Resident Evil 7, Revelations was a glimmer of hope that the series would go back to its survival horror roots. I had always hoped that Revelations 2 would make its way to the Wii U, and even though it’s been on the top of my must play list for a long time it seems to slip through the cracks with each and every Steam sale. This will definitely be what gets me to finally break down and buy the game. It’s a bit disappointing that it won’t be on a game card since I already own Revelations on the Wii U, but for that cost the collector in me see’s purchasing the collection might still be worthwhile.
